The recent listing of the graph has created a lot of waves in the altcoin in the crypto space, on the whole, I have been trying to explain about this for months now this is one such article for all of the people who are interested in knowing more about the project.
SO let me give a short description of what Graph does, whenever any data needs to be fetched from a blockchain it reduces the wait time for the result thus increasing the effectiveness of the data fetching for dapps and other end users.
To put in simple words Graph helps in querying the networks like Ethereum and IPFS faster.
Why do you believe in The Graph? What inspires you?
The Graph is an open protocol where anyone can participate and provide for the betterment of the WEB 3 no need to depend on any centralised solutions like AWS or other bug guys.
It personally inspires me because I would like to contribute to the best of WEB 3 and be a part of the revolution which is happening I want more of the system to be public rather than being private.
What type of data should be indexed on The Graph?
I am looking for more of the public useful related data to be indexed by the Graph. There is a general assumption that all the data which are big and takes a lot of retrieval time cannot be moved to blockchain so if the Graph can help in that indexing it would do a great help.
So I think the Voting system should be made more public and moved to blockchain this could lead to the following advantages :
- Quicker counting of votes
- No more doubt of tampering
- More trust of public
with these new features people can still believe in democracy and why not use this is in things like TV shows, who knows if the voting in games are rigged so better to update each entry in the chain and show it to people live so that no tampering can be done by anyone.
